Stonybrook Red Storm Forecast
February 22, 2021
From Principal Smith
It was great to have our hybrid students back in the building last Thursday and Friday. The students seemed happy and excited to be back in school. Please remind your scholars to wear a face covering to the bus stop, into the building, and all of the time while they are inside the building unless they are eating. Also remind them to wash their hands or sanitize them frequently and to socially distance while they are in the building. We want all students and staff to remain safe during COVID-19.
NWEA
We are beginning NWEA testing this week, starting with English Language Arts. Next week we will do the Math assessment. Please encourage your scholars to take their time and put forth maximum effort during both test. The data from the test gives us very specific details regarding what each students has learned and what skills/knowledge they still need to be taught. Their teachers will use this data during small group instruction to target their areas for growth.
Virtual Student's Book Pick-up
Book pick up for virtual students will be on Monday, 2/22 & Tuesday, 2/23 from 4pm to 6pm. This is also our virtual student picture day and in person picture retake day.
Food Distribution
Now that our students are returning to school, we will be making a couple adjustments to our food distribution schedule. Virtual and Hybrid families can pick up food on Tuesdays from either 8:00 - 9:30 AM or 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Moorhead Community Resource Center located at 8400 East 10th Street. This Friday will be our last distribution at Raymond Park Intermediate Middle School and Warren Central High School.
Tech Support
To increase our tech support for students and families, we are expanding our technology help desk hours at Moorhead Community Resource Center. Starting next week, hours will be M-F from 7:30 - 8:30 AM and 11:00 - 1:00 PM. K-4 VIRTUAL students with iPad issues should be brought here. Chromebooks can still be brought to any of the three Intermediate Middle Schools during school hours, 9:00 - 4:00, Monday - Friday or the Chromedesk at the High School during 1st and 2nd period, Monday - Friday. If for some reason you are not able to access the above times and locations, you can also submit a help ticket through IncidentIQ by clicking on Technology Tab under the Explore Tab and then select Parent Tech Info.
Have a wonderful week!
