Students are invited to wear a COSTUME TO SCHOOL on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, for a school parade! Students in TK - 6th grade will have a parade at 9:30 - 9:40 am on the blacktop.
Please note that KINDERGARTEN students will be dressing up as COMMUNITY HELPERS on this day.
Please see the following guidelines on appropriate school Halloween costumes for school. Any students not dressed appropriately or following rules outlined below, will not be allowed to participate in the parade and parents will be called to bring a change of clothes.
In order to maintain a safe environment at Morse Elementary, the following guidelines for costumes have been established:
All costumes must be in good taste and appropriate for elementary school.
Students need to be able to sit in their chairs and complete school work while wearing costumes (no inflatable costumes).
No costumes with blood, weapons, or scary images of any kind will be allowed. No gang-like attire, reference to controlled substances, and/or illegal activities, and costumes that are offensive to any group.
Masks or weapons are not permitted. Hats or simple props may be worn if they are part of the costume.
No full-face makeup is allowed on this day. No makeup or hair spray should be brought to school.
As always, skateboards and roller-blades are not to be used on campus, large toys or props that interfere with teaching/learning are not allowed, and toy or replica weapons are never to be brought to school.
If the costume cannot be worn all day, school clothing must be worn underneath the costume so that it can be removed for the rest of the day. Changing into and out of costumes will not be permitted. Please note that teachers and staff cannot help students change their clothes.
Please do not send any treats or food without making prior arrangements with your child’s classroom teacher.

Our goal is to reduce and prevent all forms of bullying and raise awareness about the impact it has on children. If you'd like to learn more about this important cause, please visit the Stomp Out Bullying website at https://www.stompoutbullying.org/. They provide valuable information for you and your family.
Together, we can make a difference in creating a safer and more inclusive environment for our students. Thank you for your support.
