
FastBridge and STAR360

About
FastBridge and STAR360 are both computer-based and takes place at home. It is a research-based universal screening tool that measures progress. This assessment is not graded, but supports with personalized learning and aligns the right interventions.
The results help teachers guide each student on their unique path of learning.
Students in grades K-2 will complete FastBridge Reading.
Students in grades 3-12 will complete STAR360 Reading and Math.
How to prepare
- Extremely important that students take these assessments with no assistance - cannot accurately assess and track the student's level of achievement if outside help is provided
- Test proctoring will be facilitated in the classroom (ClassConnect session) with a teacher during the designated testing dates
- Learning Coaches will set-up STAR360's Home Connect tool prior to the student(s) taking the tests (see link on bottom of S'more)
- Review communication sent to students and Learning Coaches - Principal newsletters, website communication, communication from Homeroom teachers and by ELA/Math teachers.
- Microphone and camera are recommended, but not required
Bring Student ID to the scheduled ClassConnect testing session - students will need this information as it is part of the login info to complete the test.
Time
- Beginning of year - first two weeks of schools
- Middle of year - first two weeks of semester 2
- End of year - first two weeks of May
During Testing
- Quiet space
- Listen closely to directions provided in the main room
Attendance
- Attend the ClassConnect session that appears on the daily schedule to complete this testing
