Holy Cross Catholic School
From the Desk of Dr. Wagner
December 8, 2023
During this special time in Advent, our school is full of preparations for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. While it is a busy time, we also need to take the time to pause and remember why we celebrate this wonderful season. We started the week off with our annual Advent Wreath blessing led by Mr. Wright's Eighth grade class. Fr. Abner came to help with the blessing and it was a great way to start the season as a school community.
Sister Sacrifice from the Servidoras order founded in Argentina, joined our middle school this week and talked about her call to holiness journey with our students. It was a special day for our students as they learned about the impact they can have in making our world a better place just like Sister Sacrifice. We are so grateful she took time out of her visit home to talk to our Holy Cross students.
We rounded the week off with a beautiful celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with Fr. Marcos and Ms. Parn's amazing third grade class. It is always a special time being in Mass with our Faith Families, but today was extra special celebrating this Holy Day of Obligation together.
Holy Cross is praying for you and your family during this Advent Season. We look forward to celebrating with you during the Our Lady of Guadalupe prayer service and the Preschool and K-8 Music programs next week.

The second Turn-In Tuesday is January 9.
There still is time to make a list and check it twice. Sell raffle tickets to family members at Christmas parties. Visit with the neighbors over the holidays. Capture your sales pitch on video and send it to friends far away.
