Late Start ~ Friday, April 9th ~ 10:04 a.m.

Blair Oaks, along with seventeen other schools in Cole County, were able to organize the first round of the vaccines for their teachers and staff last Friday, March 19th. The second dose is scheduled for Friday, April 9th. In order to accommodate, Blair Oaks will have a two-hour late start on that day. Buses will run two hours later than normal. Doors will open at 9:30 am. Reminder - breakfast is not served when we have a late start.

ACT Prep

With the next ACT on April 17, teachers would like to offer ACT prep for anyone who would like extra help and practice!

Accuplacer Test ~ April 6th

The Accuplacer Test will be administered on Tuesday, April 6th, to students who pre-registered. On day of the test:

Students taking the test will eat the first lunch shift.
Bring $20 payable to STCM, State Technical College.
Bring a photo ID at the time of testing.

Letter Jackets ~ April 7th

Whether your student participates in sports, music, or the arts, they have proudly earned the right to wear BHS colors. A representative from Jostens will be at school to answer questions and accept letter jacket orders.

Try on jackets to determine sizing, visit with representative, place orders

Out-of-school dates

Seniors may bring out-of-school guests but must sign them up on Google classroom.

Guests

Must be at least a high school freshman
Must not be older than 21
Sign-up guests on the Google form in classroom.
Guests must present an ID at prom.
Students may not re-enter prom once they leave.

Prom is a formal dress occasion, no jeans.

Signing Day ~ April 14th

Attendance will be limited to parents, grandparents, club coaches, and college coaches.

A school photographer will take a photo that will be released to the News Tribune for publication. Other photos may be taken by those attending the event.

Dance Team Clinic

Blair Oaks Dance Team is hosting a clinic for 8-11th graders that will introduce students to dance and be an open audition as well. The dance clinic will be held weekly on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on April 15, 22, 29 and May 6th. The clinic will be held in the high school cafeteria. All interested students are invited to attend.

Summer School 2021

Driver's Education

Must be 15 years of age by June 15, 2021
Dates: June 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 for required 30 hours of class time; 18 driving hours also required, sign-up for driving slots occurs during class dates.
Cost: Enrollment fee and cost of breakfast/lunch

Students missing more than one day will not receive credit
Free enrollment. Cost is only the cost of breakfast and lunch.
