What is concurrent credit?
Concurrent credit is a college class taught by your high school teacher.
Example: ITCA currently offers 3 science classes through CWI
What is dual enrollment?
Dual enrollment is being enrolled at 2 institutions at the same time
Are there any pre-requisites?
Recommend having a 3.0 cumulative GPA
Some Idaho colleges require students to be 16

How Do I Pay For College Classes?
The state of Idaho allots $4,125 to all 7-12 graders attending an Idaho public school. This program is called Advanced Opportunities/ Fast Forward Funding. These funds can be used to pay for college tuition, overload high school courses, certification exams and college entrance exam fees.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do these funds cover all of the costs? Money can only be used towards tuition. Does not cover the cost of books, supplies or lab fees.
- What else can these funds be used for? Pay for college tuition, overload high school courses, workforce training programs, certification exams and college entrance exam fees.
- How do I apply these funds toward my tuition? There are 2 ways to apply funding 1.) Create a student account in the Advanced Opportunities portal and request funding. 2.) Let Mrs. Granier know what courses are being taken and she will submit funding for you. This is the preferred form of requesting funds.
- What happens if I fail a course that the state paid for? If a student fails to earn credit or successfully complete a course for which the department has paid a reimbursement, the student must pay for and successfully earn credit or complete one (1) like course before the State Department of Education may pay any further reimbursements for the student.
