The countdown to winter break was made even more exciting by participating in a holiday spirit week. Such beautiful people in such ugly sweaters!

We are so incredibly grateful to Ms. Marilyn Aponte and her family for spreading so much joy at East Fallowfield on Friday, December 22nd. Ms. Marilyn surprised us all with a visit from Santa, the Grinch, a reindeer and 2 elves! In addition, Ms. Marilyn provided a gift to EVERY SINGLE STUDENT! This was such an amazing act of kindness and we are so blessed to have Ms. Marilyn as part of our East Fallowfield family.

Thank you to the family of fourth grade student, John Woodward who generously provided lunch for our entire staff. The family brought in pizza, hoagies, salads, and desserts last week. It was such a kind gesture and we are so appreciative!

Mrs. Mullen and our orchestra students spread some holiday cheer through the hallways last week with surprise musical selections throughout the school. It was the perfect kickoff to the holiday break!

Our January PTO meeting will be Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

The American Red Cross provides and installs smoke detectors in any CASD students’ homes where they are needed and instructs their families on their use and maintenance. This is done free of charge.

If you do not have a smoke detector(s) or one(s) that don’t work, the Red Cross can schedule a time to visit your home and install new devices. Simply call the Red Cross at 1-800-Red Cross or visit the Red Cross website.

Chromebooks

• Please be sure to send your child back to school with their district-issued Chromebook and charger if they took it home for the summer.
• If your child turned in their Chromebook at the end of the year, they will be distributed within the first few days of school.
• If your child is in kindergarten or new to the district, laptops will be distributed within the first weeks of school.
• Technology Insurance Fees (TIF) can be made via RevTrak on the school district’s website: https://coatesvillearea.revtrak.net/casd-technology/.
• Should you have any technology concerns please contact our Technology Department at ithelpdesk@casdschools.org.

The district is continuing our contract with A Child’s Place as our before and after care provider. Please see the attached flyer below for information about rates and how to enroll your child. We are happy to announce that we will have both before and after care at East Fallowfield this year!
