Principal's Message
Dear parents/ guardians,
It is hard to believe that it is already the end of September! Today we recognized Orange Shirt Day. Students gathered together in gym to learn about National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. They watched a video on why we honour Orange Shirt Day and did a group activity about what every child deserves. A big thank you to Ms. Carpenter for organizing and facilitating the assembly for our students and staff.
NCS is pleased to welcome our new family school liaison counsellor (FSLC) to the Lobstick area, Emma Graham. She will be starting in the schools this coming week and we are looking forward to having her as part of our team.
Thank you to the Niton Central Fundraising Society and Cenovus Energy for the donation of a light table for our Kindergarten/ Grade 1 classes! The table will be put to good use throughout this year!
We have a few events happening this coming week. Tuesday, October 3rd is picture day! Thursday, October 5th in Alien InLine Skating (indoor skating). Permission forms were sent home with all students this week (a copy is included below). Please ensure your child remembers to bring socks and a helmet that day. Friday, October 6th is our Turkey Trot! Students are encourage to dress up like a turkey for the day!
Have a great week,
