During our meeting on Monday, we will discuss what the work week will look like for the week of March 23 - 27. Please look over the following document prior to the meeting on Monday. We will go through the document and answer questions as needed.

We will take one day at a time, so for now do not plan any lessons until further notice.

Middle School Pirates Learn@Home Documents

We will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Monday (either virtually or in person) to discuss the plan for the Pirates Learn@Home initiative. During this time, we will share the plan for the week of March 30. We will have some things for you to do on these days, so please plan to work. You will have the option to work from home or at school.

Governor Abbott issued an executive order that requires all Texas schools to close through April 3. As of right now, this order does not change our plan for the Pirates Learn@Home Initiative. We still have to provide instruction to our students, so we will continue to move forward with our plan.

If something changes, we will update you.

Friday, March 20

2:00 LBMS

During our Administrator's meetings this week, we setup the requirements for the Pirates Learn@Home Initiative. Our LBMS Leadership team will meet to study the plan and determine how to best implement the plan for our campus. We will share that plan with everyone at our faculty meeting on the 23rd.

Good Wednesday everyone! By now, you are aware that students will receive an unexpected extended break due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

During this extended spring break, we will all be working on plans to provide both in-person instruction and remote instruction. We have discussed our options of what this should look like at our Administrator’s meetings this week and we will meet with the LBMS Leadership Team to create and finalize our plan on Friday. Like Mr. Bryant mentioned, we may be calling an all staff meeting on Monday to push out the plan. The format of this meeting is yet to be determined. Please be available next week to work remotely and/or on campus.

As of right now, parents will be notified that we are returning to school March 30, however, if they do not wish to send their child, there will be no consequence for absences. We will give parents the flexibility to keep students at home. This is where the in-person and remote instruction comes into play.

In the event that you traveled to a high risk area and feel that you have been exposed, fill out the google form that was sent by the District and email me. As we will have to figure out a way to cover your classes.
