Weatherford Claims Team Trophy At Noon Lions Horseshoe Pitching Tournament
The Weatherford High School Horseshoe Pitching Team came to Saturday’s event ready to see history made. Participating in the first ever Parker County High School Horseshoe Pitching Tournament, ringers were quite common and led to a tie in the Single Male Event. Two Champions were crowned from WHS, Alex Soap and Kaden Bell. Their record was 4 wins and 1 loss. The Noon Lions sponsored the tournament at the new horseshoe pits located in Love Street Park.
All 7 Parker County public high schools were invited to be a member of this historic event. Weatherford students showed their stuff by pitching and winning 2 events, Single Male and the Team Trophy.
The Weatherford students who teamed up as Partners were Alex Soap and Kaden Bell, WHS 1 and Cole Wright and Dakota Shafer, WHS 2. Alex Soap and Kaden Bell won 3rd place in the Partners Event.
The Noon Lions of Weatherford want to congratulate the students from WHS for their great effort in this historic event and Principal Kristy Dowd for putting the Weatherford Team together.
