We made it to Oregon!
On Thursday, we made it to Oregon and celebrated in a variety of ways. It was a blast and we enjoyed every minute of it! We built our cabins, planted math gardens, read by the campfire, wrote about our adventure, cooked Johnny cakes, made yarn dolls and more. Check out our picture slideshow to see the kids in action.
Oregon Day
Cooking Johnny cakes with the help of Mrs. Delong.
Building very breezy log cabins with pretzels and icing.
Mrs. Pearl is off to another adventure...
March Madness - Picture Book Tournament
All week students read, reviewed and voted on selected picture books. We started with 16 texts and they competed against each other until we selected a winner. The Day the Crayons Quit was chosen as the winning picture book in our classroom. The students love the humor and the powerful message the book communicates.
