Muskego Lakes Family Newsletter
April 21st, 2023
Dear Muskego Lakes Families,
It's been a busy week here at Muskego Lakes with our students Forward testing!
We know that all of you have played a huge role in this week being a success, so thank you!
We appreciate you for helping students remember to bring headphones, for helping students remember to charge their Chromebooks, for helping ensure they get a good night's sleep, and for giving them all the encouragement they need.
We have been beyond impressed with students' efforts throughout the week and how they showed up to support one another during testing. They truly took their time and did their best to demonstrate their growth as learners, and we can't wait to celebrate their growth and success when we get their results back. Weeks like this take perseverance, determination, and heart- so we are really proud of our Muskies!
Not only did students do their best on their Forward tests, but they also showed up for one another. All week we heard kids around the school building one another up about doing well on their tests, sharing how confident they felt after taking an exam and helping to remind their peers about schedule changes due to testing.
So while your child's academic progress is our number one priority, we are grateful for the many ways they live out our school vision each day and make Muskego Lakes a great place to be!
In partnership,
Rachel and Nancy

Staff Member Spotlight: Ms. Wintheiser
We asked Ms. Wintheiser to share a little about herself and her career, in addition to what what makes her proud to work at Muskego Lakes and she said:
"My name is Michele Wintheiser, and I am an instructional Assistant currently working with the 6th-grade students. I also work with students in homework club, and you will also see me directing traffic in the mornings! Before becoming an instructional assistant, I was an Emergency Veterinary Technician for 20 years. While working as an emergency technician, I helped out in my children's classrooms, eventually leading to working in the schools. I love working with the kids and watching them grow and achieve great things. I am a mom to 3 boys. My boys are 24, 20, and 18. I also have a black lab named Max. All 4 of them keep me really busy!"
Here is a little more to help you get to know STAFF MEMBER
Favorite coffee drink: Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks or I like to brew my own at home.
Favorite subject when you were in middle school: Science was my favorite subject when I was in middle school. I love hands on experiments. Working in middle school now, I really like math the best!
Fun fact about yourself that may surprise students and families: I'm a busy bee! Love to exercise, garden, bowl. I love watching the food network.
My Dream vacation: I have 2 vacations that I would love to do. The first one is going on an African safari. The second one is to go to Alaska and see the Iditarod race.
Students & staff describe me as: Helpful, kind, patient and caring. I feel I hold everyone to a high standard and I'm very honest with the kids.
