Parent Teacher Conferences (March 6 & 7)

Conferences are Monday and Tuesday this week from 3:45-6:30pm. We would advise you to park and wait until 3:40 to enter the building. It is very helpful if you let us get the bulk of dismissal done before you enter.

If you don't know your assigned time, please email your child's advisor. We encourage you to have your student bring his/her Chromebook and look at HAC with your student if you have questions about current grades. After this week, there is one more week before the end of third quarter. We look forward to seeing you this week!!

Ask your child...

Have you ever asked your student how his/her day was and you get one word answers? Use these questions to ask specific questions about the week and get him/her talking!

Science 7 - Dickard - They tried something new this week! This is a wiki the class created. They had great conversations about accuracy of information on the internet along with accuracy of the info they add to the wiki. Check it out!
Social Studies 7 - Explain the concept of Manifest Destiny.
Acc. Math 7 - What are you doing for your "Geometry is All Around Us" project?
Social Studies 6 - What was the purpose of Feudalism during the Middle Ages?
Science 6 - Explain the concept of Manifest Destiny.
Science 7 - What are the kinds symbiosis and what is an example of at least one?
ELA 6 - Define myths.
ELA 7 - What are the four things to look for when evaluating an argument? (credible, logical, relevant, & sufficient)
Math 6 - What are two methods you could use to divide 3/2 and 4/5?
Math 7 - How do you calculate the area of a triangle? A trapezoid?
Language Lab - What are the similarities and differences between fragments, run-ons, and complete sentences?
Keycode: What skills have you learned using google docs this week?
Band: Band Pictures are on Friday, March 10th. Do you know where your band shirt and long blue jeans are? Do they still fit? (Extra shirts are $10.)
Choir - What is the last sharp in a key signature Solfegically speaking?
EAST - What is going well in your project or software?
ART 7 - What are two Color Schemes you learned this week?
Stagecraft - What props/sets/costumes are you currently working on?

Virtual Summer Option for Current 7th/Future 8th graders

The next PTO meeting will be on March 6th @ 8:30am. Thank you PTO and parents for providing supper both nights of conferences for teachers!!
