Summer Bridge program
CMIT North Middle School is offering a summer bridge opportunity for incoming rising 6th grade students. The program will consist of four weeks of in-person learning that will target each student's individual needs in Reading and Math. Each class will have a professional educator supervising the learning experience and providing instructional support. It will also provide an opportunity to become oriented to the school facilities and meet faculty and staff making the transition to CMIT North MS a little easier. Space is limited. Students are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Where: CMIT North Middle School, 6100 Frost Place, Laurel, MD 20707
When: July 6th through July 28th from 9am to 12pm daily (except for any PGCPS holidays)
Supplies: Students are not required to wear uniforms. Students should bring notebooks, pens and pencils.
Drop Off: Students will be dropped off at the back of the school at the cafeteria doors. Doors will open at 8:30 AM for all students. Please note that at 9AM the cafeteria doors will close because our learning sessions begin. If a student arrives after 9AM, they must enter through the front of the building. We recommend that all students arrive before 9AM to take full advantage of the Math and RELA sessions.
Pick Up: Students must be picked up at the back of the school no later than 12:15 pm.
Food: Students should also bring a water bottle and a light snack that they can eat during their mini-snack break. Students may also bring breakfast to eat before the learning sessions begin. CMIT North Middle School will not be providing food to any scholars this summer.
Technology: Students will be provided with technology during the days for the summer session. Students are not allowed to bring personal laptops/computers as they will not be permitted to have wifi access. If your scholar knows their Prince George's County Public School account information (login and password), please have them bring it with them to the summer session.
