Superintendent, Dr. Manuel, and JMG Specialist, Ms. Stone, went and visited Bath Tech student, Brenden Lane, at Reed & Reed. Brenden has been doing an internship with them since January. His supervisor, Randy Turbox, said that he hasn’t seen a student as advanced and eager to learn as Brenden in the time he has been teaching the apprenticeship classes. Brenden is the first employee that Turbox has seen, in his 18 years of working for Reed & Reed, who has been offered a part-time job. Brenden stays past his required internships most days and is making $17 per hour for his time. He received a bucket of tools upon starting and has taken quite the leadership role in teaching new apprenticeship students the ropes. In these pictures, he is preparing a climbing rope for new students to learn proper safety when climbing. And of course we had to snag a photo with us all in it!
