LVMS Student Council Elections will be held this week during Social Studies classes. On Thursday, October 19th all students will watch campaign videos for those that are running. Elections will be held on Friday, October 20th.

Annually at LVMS to honor October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the LVMS Student Council Organizes a fundraiser and Spirit Day for Breast Cancer Awareness. This year, Friday, October 20th will be the annual Pink Out Spirit Day.

During lunch periods this week, the LVMS Student Council will be selling Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets for $1. All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The LVMS Student Council is hosting the 7th and 8th Grade Halloween Dance!

When: Friday, October 27, 2023 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM

Where: LVMS - N. Gym

Tickets: $10 per student ahead of time;

Additional Information:

-School appropriate costumes are encouraged

-There will be a DJ, Photo booth, Snacks, and a Costume Contest

-Pizza will be available for purchase

-Tickets will be sold during all lunch periods 10/23 - 10/27

To honor Veteran's Day this year, LVMS would like to create a Wall of Honor to celebrate family and friends that served in the military. Please consider completing the slide with a picture of your Veteran to be displayed in the library starting on Monday, November 6. At this time we will also be hosting our Long Valley Veteran's for a celebration for their dedication to our country.

Students must submit or share the Wall of Honor with their Social Studies teachers no later than Thursday, November 2nd.

Let's take a step away from technology and get outside! We are challenging our students to reach 1000 hours of outside activities for the year. Each month, there will be activities to do outside that's related to the seasons. These activities can be done with friends, families, or on your own. You can find the activities here or take a peek at the bulletin board outside the boys locker room by the North Gym. Share your activities and have fun!

The Washington Township Municipal Alliance will be sponsoring Allan Robinson's program "Measure to Prevent your Child from Being Kidnapped, Abducted, and Sexually Exploited" at the Long Valley Middle School on Thursday, October 26th, at 6:00pm. Please be aware, this program is not designed for students and it is requested that adults only attend.

The Long Valley Junior Women's Club (LVJWC) is sponsoring "Boo A Friend" for the Halloween Season. Use the QR Code below to send a friend, family member, or neighbor a special Halloween treat!

Penny Wars - October 23rd - 27th

The LVMS PTA is sponsoring Penny Wars during all lunch periods next week, October 23rd - October 27th. Each house will have their own bin to put coins in. All coins are worth points and all bills subtract points. The house with the most points will win Spirit Points for House Wars.
