Students Return on Jan. 9

Our 2nd graders put on a wonderful performance last night. We are so happy that so many families were able to attend and see their child's performance. A big thank you goes out to our music teacher, Shawna Lechner, for setting up and running this performance.

This is the last call for pre-printing Visitor Badges if you are planning on attending your child's Christmas Party. You are still welcome to attend if you do not turn in this form, but you will need to check in at the office and have them print your badge at that time.

Mrs. Rubin's class got the opportunity to go to Lowe's to practice shopping. The students were involved in making the list, shopping for the items, and paying at the register. We're so happy that our students have such wonderful teachers in their class that provide them with these real world experiences.

Blanco Elementary PTO served up a Christmas lunch on Thursday thanks to the help of Chicken Express. There were sweet treats brought by parents and a drawing for giveaways of gift cards and gift items. Thank you PTO and parents for this special event for the staff!

Hello Parents!

Thank you so much to our first round of volunteers that came in and assisted our students during STEM rotations this fall! Your time and energy is greatly appreciated!

We are going to continue providing this opportunity for our students and teachers in the spring. The kids are having a great time with it and our teachers are so appreciative of the additional planning time!

Please consider signing up again, or if you weren't able to volunteer in the fall and would like to in the spring we would love to have you!

On Saturday, December 9th the Blanco FFA Chapter held their 26th annual Blanco FFA Chapter Show at the County show barn in Johnson City. 37 Blanco FFA members students showed 95 head of high quality livestock. The judge for all species was Cory Rains of Fredericksburg. After all the dust settled the ribbons and buckles were handed out. There were lots of smiles and handshakes from all the exhibitors and those who came out to support them. These young people are putting countless hours into their animal projects and it was good for many of them to see their hard work pay off. Showing livestock develops work ethic, character, sportsmanship, and grit and all these characteristics were on full display during the show. Congratulations to all who placed with their animals. Thank you to all the local individuals and businesses who sponsored the Chapter Show. We appreciate your support.
