Westwood parents-
5th grade parents- if your student signed up to participate in Little Olympics, it will be Saturday morning at SHS. If it is postponed for weather, we will do our best to notify you as soon as we find out.
Our 4th and 5th graders have their turn at testing next week! They will be taking 1 test per day and will begin shortly after 8:00 each morning. It is super important for students to be on time (it's always important but especially during testing) and to be at school unless they are running fever or having tummy issues. It helps them if they've had a good night's rest, and as always, they will have breakfast at school. Students will have an opportunity to earn points during testing to use at a Percy Jackson party in mid-May.
We are sending home a very important letter in Tuesday folders next week regarding your plans for dismissal next year with the early release on Wednesdays. Please read the letter as it will have a lot of information, mark how you plan for your student(s) to go home next year, and return to your child's teacher by next Friday, May 6.
Next week is national teacher appreciation week, and we have some big plans to celebrate our wonderful staff! I know the teachers would appreciate a note from you or your child about how much you appreciate them (don't forget specialty teachers, too). So often, words from the heart mean more than anything you could buy.
We have our last mobile food pantry food giveaway next Tuesday- hard to believe it's the last one for the year! Come through the front of the school car line anytime between 3:30 and 4:15 for free food.
