Parent Communication for March 17, 2023
I hope everyone's had a great week! Thank you for joining us at Open House on Tuesday night. It's always a great event for our students, staff, and families.
As we move forward these next nine weeks, we will continue to share more about end of the year activities. We're looking forward to finishing 2022-2023 on a strong note!
Starting next week, parents that are coming off of Cottonwood will be required to turn right into the gym side of the school. Parents coming off Fall/Deerlake will be required to turn left and drop off at the front of the building. We've done this in previous years, and it seemed to work really well. This should help the flow of traffic in the morning.
Finally, we'd love for you to share all the amazing things the staff is doing here at Vaughan. If you'd like to send them a 'shout out', please click here. As we get closer to Staff Appreciation Week, I'd love to share all your kind words and affirmation with them. :-)
Thank you so much for your support and for sharing your sweet kiddos with us!
Enjoy your weekend!

2022-2023 Teacher of the Year!
Congratulations Lindsay Domenico!
Mrs. Domenico is an outstanding and motivating leader for her students, our staff, and her teammates. She is someone who inspires learning among her students in various creative ways. Mrs. Domenico is reflective in her teaching practices, consistently altering learning for her students when they don't understand something or when she determines that another option will work better for full conceptual understanding next time. She is well adapted in new approaches and is willing to acquire modern skills to advance her teaching practices. Mrs. Domenico offers help wherever needed, even when it's outside her area of expertise. She guides her team with excellence ensuring they have the necessary information, collaborating on new ideas, and maintaining organization and structure for events, reminders, and changes to their daily tasks. Mrs. Domenico puts social and emotional needs above everything for her students, teammates, and herself. Whether she is frequently checking in on those around her, making sure they are at their best, or reflecting on ways to offer supports that build her students' confidence and success. She is an inspiration for many with her passion and dedication to the profession. Congratulations Lindsay Domenico on being selected as Vaughan’s 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year!
