HIGHLIGHTS & GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Health Outreach Baltimore's return to Mercy Medical Center
After an eighteen-months working remotely, Health Outreach Baltimore has returned in force to Mercy Medical Center. With 33 advocates working daily to connect people to social resources around Baltimore, we have partnered with 132 clients and counting. Everyday, HOB advocates are working with Baltimore residents to find food, housing, employment, education, cribs, childcare, and more. Advocates as young as eighteen have become experts in finding and utilizing resources that had previously been taken for granted. Baltimore’s diverse population has created a challenge that HOB has been able to meet. Different languages, varying cultures, and an assortment of social customs have served to deepen and expand the meaningful relationships advocates have forged with our clients. With the arrival of winter, new needs are bound to surface that HOB’s advocates are more than prepared to fulfill.
