Winter Coats wanted
If your child has grown out of last year’s winter coat and you are looking to donate it, we could use some coats at SRS for children to borrow if needed for recess. If you have a clean winter jacket and want to send it in, please ask your child to drop it off to the nurse. Thank you!

Did you know that phonological awareness is one of the strongest indicators of early reading success? Phonological awareness is the ability to hear, identify, and play with the sounds in spoken language. This includes skills like rhyming, isolating beginning/middle/final sounds in words, blending sounds into words, and segmenting words into individual sounds.
In Marshfield, all K-2 students receive direct phonological awareness instruction via the Heggerty curriculum. At home, you can support this important work by playing word games, such as: rhyming; guess my word (I have a b-a-t); pushing pennies for each sound in a word.
