A few Reminders from Principal Peters
A few friendly reminders as we begin our new school year:
As we begin our 2021/2022 school year we have to remember to continue to follow our district's Safe in School Guidelines. Although, our state governor is "opening" California on June 15th, we want to be cognizant that our young students and young children in general have not had an opportunity to be vaccinated. Until otherwise directed from LB CDC and the LBUSD executive office we continue to follow all mandated protocols and expectations.
- Parents will ensure that student come to school healthy and free from COVID symptoms
- If a child has been exposed to COVID, or is waiting on a test result, your child must stay home until cleared to come back.
- Students must wear masks in the classroom
- Masks on the playground are optional for students
Uniforms will be required for all students, there will be no opt-out options. PTA will be selling spirit wear the week of August 30th - September 3rd.
Parents please plan on attending Kettering's Back -to-School night on Thursday, September 9th from 5:30 - 7:30, via Zoom - teachers will share links as we get closer to the date.
Drop off and pick up of students. Parents please be cognizant of neighbors, other cars and students when dropping off or picking up your students. Never double park. When cars double park, drivers behind the double parked cars can get impatient and decide to move around the double parked car which cases unsafe conditions. Always pull over to drop off students and pick students up. It is best to drop off and pick up on the east side of the street so that parents and students do not end up unsafely crossing the street.
