Only 20 spots left in Camp Invention
Merton School is excited to welcome an all-new Camp Invention® program, Supercharged, (July 29 – Aug. 2) where children transform their wild imaginations into epic creations. As part of Summer School the cost of the program is $40 for the week. Campers in grades K-6 will code robots and use collaboration and creative problem solving during hands-on, STEM activities. We are also looking for Counselors in Training (7th & 8th graders) to participate in our program. Register by calling Camp Invention directly at (800) 968-4332. This is a great week each summer! Hope to see you there.

Out of District move, but still want to attend Merton?
With spring here, some of our families have made the decision or are considering moving out of their current residence and into a new home. This new home may or may not be within our district boundaries. One of the questions that is often asked is whether or not their child/student can continue to attend school at Merton. THE ANSWER IS YES!
The Department of Public Instruction has several options in place that allow students to continue attending school in their “former district” even though the students no longer live in Merton. You will not be told “Sorry, your children can no longer attend Merton Schools.” If you know that your family will not be a Merton Community School District resident next fall, now is the time to apply for open enrollment. This option is the easiest for both the family and district. The application window is open until 4:00 pm Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Use this link to apply.
If you move out of the district after April 30th, please contact the office immediately as we will direct you on how to continue attending Merton Schools. It is very critical for our reporting that we know if a family has moved either within the district or outside of the district. Thank you for letting us know if you are intending to move or have already moved!
