St. John XXIII Catholic School
Leadership Message
Parents are a child's first and most important teacher. Modeling kindness, respect and a love of learning creates a solid foundation for our children. Teaching our children that school is a place where learning is important helps build their intrinsic motivation. A positive, supportive outlook on school allows children to develop independence, cooperate with others, and be more willing to accept challenges. It is fun to learn, grow and connect! Learning is not something that is done to you, it is an active process that builds brains and fosters relationships.
Parents, even in those challenging moments, thank you for modeling that school is a safe and caring, faith-filled place where important learning and growing happens every moment.

Our school offers a supplemental Nature Kindergarten program which operates Tuesdays/Thursdays and some Fridays. This paid program offers students the opportunity to spend a large part of their day outside engaged in meaningful ways of learning with their body, mind and spirit, while located in a natural setting. Enrollment in this program provides an option to attend kindergarten full time.
Nature Program Grade 1, 2, 3 and 4!
This program provides students with an opportunity to spend two half days outside each week. This paid program connects students to nature by fostering rich learning experiences, physical literacy and independence.

Share the power of reading aloud at home and school!
World Read Aloud Day is February 4th. World Read Aloud Day
For the sixth year in a row, our St. John XXIII community has signed up to be part of the official World Read Aloud Day! We will join millions around the world to celebrate the power of reading aloud.
Celebrating Valentine's Day: February 13th
Valentines Day will be celebrated on Friday, February 14th.
Please remember as we approach the “sweet” day of Valentine’s Day: Please do not send in any food items as “treats” along with Valentine’s cards for our classmates. We have many students with various food sensitivities and allergies, as well as diabetes. If you choose to add a special something, you are most welcome to add any non-food items such as a pencil, sticker, or bookmark.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.
