Early Outs

Early out days are always on the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00. Students will be bused home at this time.

The purpose of early outs is to allow staff to have professional development in order to better educate students.

Procedures

5th and 6th Grade Leadership Team- Buffalo Crew

The 5th and 6th grade MPS students have an opportunity to be on the elementary leadership team. The team will do the following things to help out around the school:

Attending leadership meetings every week on Wednesdays over lunch
Creating expectations videos/posters
Morning announcements
Helping plan monthly assemblies
Monthly Classroom Activities in Elementary
Other leadership activities

Meet Mrs. Walter

Hello! I am Mrs. Walter and I teach 1st grade. This is my 9th year teaching at

Minnewaukan School. I graduated from Mayville State University with my

Bachelor’s Degree in Education. I live on a farm in the country with my husband

and 3 kids. Gatlin is 6 years old, Statler is 3 years old and Bellamy is 7 month old.

We also have cattle, chickens, goats, horses and all kinds of animals. I love

Minnewaukan School because of the kids and how excited they get when they are

learning! Every year they melt my heart with how happy they are to be in school!

Meet Mrs. Lawrence

My name is Mandi Lawrence and this is my 2nd year at Minnewaukan Public School, 5th year in education, and first year in 3rd grade. I am married to Robert who also teaches at Minnewaukan. Together we have 3 children, Alionna (18) in her first year of college, Presley (10) in fifth grade, and Harrison (9) in 3rd grade. We enjoy spending time on the lake during the summer and attending all kinds of sporting events throughout the year. I love Minnewaukan School because of the people! All of the staff and students are so fun to work with and make coming to school every day a fun experience.

Student of the Month

Each grade level will be eligible to receive student of the month.

They will be recognized on the school website and FB page as well as receive a small reward for their accomplishment.

Student engagement staff will look for when nominating a student of the month:

Good Attendance!
Completion of Work!
Collaborates well with peers and staff!
Follows school expectations!

Waiting List

If you have preschool and kindergarten students for next year who you would like to enroll please put them on the waiting list as soon as possible as spots will fill up.
