We are missing our roadrunners this summer! In just 4 weeks, we will welcome everyone back to school on Monday, August 14th, 2023!
A few reminders to make sure your family is prepped and ready to start the year:
- "Welcome Back" Open House is Thursday, August 10th from 4:00pm-7:00pm for all GCPS Elementary Schools. *If you cannot attend, please send supplies on the first day of school with your student. Our staff will be hard at work the week of August 7th, and will be unable to accommodate any classroom visits other than our official event on Thursday, August 10th. Kindergarten Families will be sent additional details for August 10th in the upcoming weeks.
- GMS and GHS will have their "Welcome Back" event on Thursday, August 10th from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
- 23-24 Supply Lists can be found here: https://www.goochlandschools.org/page/supply-lists
- TRANSPORTATION: Our transportation services forecasts a limited number of drivers for the upcoming school year. Please click here: Transportation Changes to view upcoming changes. If your student did not ride the bus this school year and plans to ride for the new school year please makes sure to fill out a school bus request form. Please click the School Bus Request Form to sign up. If your student requires an alternate bus stop you must make the request before the start of each school year.
- All students who were enrolled at RES last year should have received their 23-24 teacher assignment with the MP4 report card. All incoming Kindergarten students who were registered before the end of the school year, should have received a letter with their 23-24 teacher assignment in the mail. If you are unsure of who your child's teacher is, please send us an email at roadrunners@glnd.k12.va.us or give us a call Monday-Thursday from 8:00am-4:00pm at 804-556-5385.
