Message from Mrs. Bravo, Principal
The 2022-2023 school year is off to a great start! We hope you have all had a positive and successful start to the school year. It has been wonderful to have the school and classrooms filled, once again, with the buzz of learning, especially in a more normal environment than last year. While we are still maintaining specific health and safety protocols, it has been so refreshing to watch the children interact with one another, play together, and collaborate with teachers in a way that was so dearly missed last year.
At JHE, we believe that relationships matter! Whether it be greeting students in the morning or daily "morning meetings", building positive relationships with students is our priority! We also value the relationship with our parent community. As a parent, one of the most important things you can do for your child’s education is to develop relationships with the people in your child’s academic life. This includes teachers, principals, your child’s friends, and their parents. When concerns arise, we encourage you to go to the origin of the source (for example: if the concern is in the classroom please contact the teacher, etc) so we can quickly resolve the matter.
I look forward to having a long and rewarding relationship with your family.

SCHOOL HOURS
Doors open at 7:15 am
Please be aware that students are tardy after 7:45 am.
We know Arrival and Dismissal for our Bulldogs can be tense....
Please make sure to review our arrival and dismissal procedures in preparation for safe, secure, and efficient processing. Our staff can process the car line in 15-20 minutes when all guardians are prepared and follow our procedures! Utilizing the car line, and having your Car Tag visible is the safest and most efficient way to release our students. We respectfully ask that you do not walk up and ask for your student; we must ensure all students are safely released to approved guardians. When our staff is overwhelmed by walk-ups, our dismissal will be delayed. Please understand the carline will be released first, all walk-ups will be asked to wait patiently. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support! All students must be picked up by 3:30 pm.

Standard Response Protocols Standard Response Protocols
Each campus will conduct drills throughout the school year. These drills are based on the Standard Response Protocols of Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, Shelter, and Hold.
Completion of the drills is mandatory for each campus so that students and staff are prepared. Drills help us learn and know how to respond in the case of a real emergency at school. Our drills also help us to check certain equipment and responses. Our emergency management leaders on each campus will work with students and staff to complete our drills and document the results.
Your child's classroom has a SRP Poster displayed.
When any visitor comes to campus, he or she will need to bring and present their driver's license to be scanned in our system in order to be admitted onto the campus. Also, our door to the office will be locked and will communicate through the cameras.
