Secondary Update
November 2019
Warren Woods Middle School Update
The WWMS staff is working hard to ensure that our instructional meeting time on Early Release days is focused around the four guiding questions of a Professional Learning Community: 1. What do we want our students to learn? 2. How will we know that they've learned it? 3. What do we do when they don't learn it? 4. What do we do when they have learned it?
Recently, each team identified some critical issues that were true/not true of their team. The results proved that each of the instructional teams are at different stages in the process. Thus, administration has been working hard to support each of the teams' stages. Ultimately, the goal is for us to create a Professional Learning Community at WWMS.
Wolverine Walk - Somerset Mall Incentive

Warren Woods Tower Update
The staff and administration have spent time in November reviewing the keys to a successful Professional Learning Community. As a building staff we have examined how our teams should function, what the 3 Big Ideas of A PLC are (Focus on Learning, Build A Collaborative Culture and Focus on Results) as well as the 6 Essential Characteristic of a PLC (Shared Mission/Values/Goals, Collaborative Teams Focused on Learning, Collective Inquiry, Action Orientation and Experimentation, Commitment to Continuous Improvement , Results Orientation). Teams have also reflected and looked at their strengths, areas of improvement and needed support from administration. We are in the process of determining what can be achieved in the short term, long term and next year.
