Keeping the Crew up to Date! Volume 2 Issue 16- 12/10/23
Greetings Clipper Nation!
We continue the 12 Days Before Winter Break school spirit days this week. Be sure to check out the days and themes below. This week also brings progress report grades. Teachers will submit grades on Monday, and progress reports will go live on Wednesday.
This will be the last parent message of the 2023 calendar year. My next official message will be on January 7th. Please review the newsletter for all the events happening up through January 7th.
Clipper Families, I hope you have a wonderful winter break!
Parents and guardians of seniors, to stay current, check out the Senior section in the newsletter specifically for senior information. Seniors need to remember that teachers and counselors are off during the winter break, so if they did not notify counselors about submissions it could mean they miss out apply to that college for that particular deadline.

Seniors (Class of 2024)
College Essay Support for Seniors:
We have good news for seniors who are working on their college essays! Mrs. Taylor and Ms. Cahall are ready to review your college essays and provide feedback starting on Monday, October 2 – Sunday, December 31.
Here’s how it works:
You will need to email either Mrs. Taylor or Ms. Cahall (both are JMB English teachers) letting them know you would like them to review your essay. They will add you in on the assignment on Google Classroom where all communication about your essay will occur. At that point, you will upload your essay, the writing prompt or question that you are responding to along with any questions or comments about the essay you have sent.
Contact information for Participating JMB Teachers:
Mrs. Chelsea Taylor: chtaylor@wcboe.org
Ms. Jennifer Cahall: jcahall@wcboe.org
Of course, if there is another teacher you would like to review your essays you are welcome to contact them, but Mrs. Taylor and Ms. Cahall are the teachers that are part of this project. They are looking forward to reading your essays and supporting you through this process!

How to Stay in the Know?
The best way to stay in the know is to make sure we have accurate information on file. Please look over all the information on the Student Personal Data and Enrollment Information Form as this is the information we currently have on file for you. Make any corrections to the form in blue. If you need additional space for emergency contact use a separate sheet of paper. Sign the back of the form and return it to the school. If you prefer to fill out a new form you can find a copy on our website.
