Plano Middle School Weekly Update

Unbelievable to think we are entering the final two weeks of school. As this year wraps up I want to remind you of a few things going on to end the school year, over summer, and start of next school year:

• 8th Grade Recognition Yard Signs will be delivered to homes the week of May 17th.
  
• May 18th 8th Grade Black Team Outdoor Education Day at Foli Park.
• May 19th 8th Grade Purple Team Outdoor Education Day at Foli Park.
• May 21st 7th Grade Black Team Outdoor Education Day at Plano MS.
  
• May 27th 8th Grade Rocket Launch Day.
  
• May 27th 8th Grade Promotion Recognition Event. Last day of in-person attendance.
• May 28th No student in-person attendance.
  
• June 7th First day of Summer School.
• July 1st Last day of Summer School.
• August 12th Plano MS Schedule Pick-up / Supply Drop off 12 - 6 pm.
  
• August 18th First Day of School!

Registration is now open for current students for the upcoming 2021-22 school year. As we close on this unusual year of school, we are excited and looking forward to planning this next school year to be in-person five days a week. Please register your student(s) by May 20th so we can be best prepared for the students.

Please click on the link below to sign into your Powerschool Parent Portal. Please make sure to use Firefox or Chrome as your internet browser. DO NOT USE INTERNET EXPLORER because it does not load forms properly.

After logging in, please select Forms on the left navigation. Complete the registration forms for each of your students. Plano District 88 parents will be required this year to upload proof of residency. This includes current lease, mortgage or tax bill. If you are unable to upload your required document to your form, please contact your student's school building. You may also send your required document to your student’s school.

Please be aware registration is not complete until your residency is verified by your school. Delays for students with incomplete registration may impact:

• teacher assignments

• bus assignments

• course selections

• Chromebook distribution

Registration completion deadline is May 20th.
