Monday Funday
Congratulations, Cane Fires!
Congratulations to both of our robotics teams -- the Hale`iwa Cane Fires!
Both teams were fabulous this past Saturday at their last robotics tournament at Ewa Makai Middle School . We are so proud they were able to end the season on a high note with both teams heading to the State Championships with momentum.
The Vex IQ state tournament will be on Saturday, January 28 at Hanalani School in Mililani. Go Cane Fires!
Lion Dance
Our students were able to experience "feeding" the lions from the Wah Ngai Lion Dance Association. The lion is believed to be a symbol of good luck and helped us to welcome the lunar new year. Kung Hei Fat Choy!
EOEL: Chrysalis
by Mrs. Angelica
Kindergarten: Four Seasons
by Ms. Mori
The Kindergarteners have been learning about the four different seasons. The students each made a flip book to show what each season looks like and how the seasons happen in a pattern. As they flip through their book they can see that seasons always happen in the same order: Winter, Spring, Summer, and then Fall. The students can't wait to show their families and teach them about the different seasons and how they're different from one another.
Kindergarten: 100 Days of School
by Ms. Brooks
Kindergarten celebrated the 100th day of school this week. The students dressed like they were 100 and brought treats to share. Each student counted out ten of each treat to put on their 100 mats. After they had counted out ten of each item, they counted all of their items together! Once done counting to 100, they were able to eat all the goodies.
