Wintertime FUN!

Keeping our students engaged just before winter break can be filled with fun! Here are some winter themed activities to help capture student's interest on zoom or in person.

Breakout of 2020

It's almost time to flip the switch on 2020 and start a brand new year! Before Father Time and Mother Nature will lead us into 2021, they want to make sure we enter with smiles, happy thoughts, and positive energy. We need to focus on the good within 2020 by using these clues. Once you analyze what you see, you will be able to puzzle it out within this digital breakout to put an end to 2020 and enter a brand new year!

Search for Ice and Snow

Use Earth image database (Space Shuttle images) to find places on Earth where there is ice and snow. Students can use this data table template to record their findings and mark locations across the globe using this interactive world map drawing.

Snow Crystals

Calling all crystalographers! This website is filled with stunning photographs of snowflakes! Check out the snowflake science, movies of growing snowflakes, snowflake fossils, and snow & ice activities on the page for some hands on fun as well.


You can also grow your own snowflakes inside a soda bottle.
