Patriot Peek at the Week News
March 7th-11th
Dear Wolf Ridge Students and Families,
It is hard to believe, but next week is the last week of the 3rd quarter. Students will be released from school at 2:00 on Friday, March 11th as this day marks the end to this quarter. Teachers will be working on finalizing grades for report cards that afternoon. Report cards will be viewable on Teacher Ease on March 16th.
Next Friday, March 11th, is also International SEL(Social Emotional Learning) Day. Ms. Manar, our SEL Coordinator, is planning activities for our students and a special assembly on this day, too. We encourage all of our students to be respectful to themselves and others.

Masks are now recommended, but not required in the school and on the bus. See below for more information.
Good evening, Bunker Hill CUSD 8 families --
First, our district learned of only 1 positive case of Covid-19 associated with our district last week. Even our weekly Shield testing produced 0 positives, the first time since the weekly voluntary testing began.
Secondly, on Friday the CDC also announced that it no longer will require that individuals wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/childcare programs. What this means is essentially that masks are now optional for those riding on our school buses, whether to school or to athletic contests.
Please know that this shift to "masks optional" will be followed with the same expectations that our district relayed when masks became recommended but not required in our buildings. We have, and always will, model and expect empathy, acceptance and understanding, no matter which option a student or staff member may choose. Kindness is not optional.
I truly hope this marks the end of the pandemic, as the events of the past two years have been hard on everyone. However, I couldn't be prouder of how our school district and community navigated these uncertain times together.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and we look forward to welcoming students back tomorrow!
Thanks,
Todd
