CROSS COUNTRY SUCCESS

Congratulations to our L.H. Rather cross country teams for their outstanding showing in the District Championship on 10/12.! Our girls team finished up as the District Runner-up in the team competition, and Judith Manzanares won the individual district championship. Other Indians who medaled at the district championship included Maddy Haggard, Tyler Whitman, and Cy Cochran. Overall, it was the team's best effort of the season. Way to finish strong!!

MORE THAN JUST CLASS

Of course, we are going to uphold the highest academic standards at L.H. Rather... but school is about much more than just books and class. If we can create a family environment that students love, students will have better attendance, grades, and attitudes. I'm proud of our teachers, coaches, and staff for their efforts to make LHR a place that students WANT to come to!

COUNTY FAIR AWESOMENESS

We had a number of students walk away from the county fair with great success. From art, to the Dutchess competition, to animal showings, to cooking and canning... our LHR students cleaned house! We are so proud of our students.

IN SERVICE OF OTHERS

I had the fantastic opportunity to be a part of Feeding Fannin County with our 8th grade PALS at the end of September. Even though I am just starting to get to know everyone, I can't tell you how proud I was of our students and Mrs. Patton. It was hot and they were working hard. But, I didn't hear complaining, I saw children joyfully serving others. We've got great kiddos at LHR, and it is an honor to be an Indian!!
