ASVAB Testing - Friday Nov 17
Parents, encouraging your high school student to take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test can offer valuable insights into their skills and aptitudes, regardless of their future career path. The ASVAB is not just for those considering military service; it assesses a wide range of abilities, including math, verbal, and technical skills. This comprehensive examination provides a detailed breakdown of individual strengths and areas for improvement, helping students better understand their academic and vocational potential. Additionally, the ASVAB results can open doors to various career opportunities, guiding students towards fields that align with their abilities and interests. Even if military service isn't in their plans, the ASVAB serves as a practical tool for career exploration and decision-making, ensuring your student makes informed choices about their future endeavors.
See Mrs Richardson for your opportunity to sign up. There are only 30 spots available. Call 806-219-1489 if you have any questions.

STUDENT BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
This year our theme is "BUILDING LEADERS." At Estacado High School, we recognize that leadership is not simply a title, but a journey of self-discovery, growth, and positive influence. This theme encapsulates our commitment to nurturing and shaping young minds into resilient, visionary, and compassionate leaders of tomorrow. Through engaging lessons, thought-provoking discussions, and immersive experiences, we aim to ignite the spark of leadership within each student, fostering skills such as effective communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and empathy. Whether it's in the classroom, on the field, or within the community, "BUILDING LEADERS" seeks to empower every student with the tools and mindset to create a lasting impact and inspire others. Embark on this transformative journey and unlock your potential to lead with purpose, integrity, and a commitment to positive change.

Sign Up for the SAT or ACT
Most colleges require either the SAT or ACT and express no preference for either test. That said, significant percentages of students at selective colleges are submitting scores from both tests when they apply. Preparing for two major standardized tests may sound daunting, but there are some very good reasons to take both the SAT and ACT, and it's easier (and more affordable!) than ever before to prep for both tests (princetonreview.com)
Reminders
