Dress Code
• Although a student's taste in dress is not dictated by the school, the school does require certain standards that are based upon factors of health, safety, and maintaining the orderly function of the school. It is expected that students should come to school clean, well groomed, and in attire that is not offensive or distasteful. Examples of clothing not considered appropriate for the classroom include, but are not limited to:
- Headwear, including bandanas, hoods, caps, athletic headbands, and hats (not allowed in any classroom including the trades)
- Sunglasses
- Clothing with sharp studs, spikes, or chains
- Clothing that is deemed sexually provocative, profane, or that advocated or depicts the use of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, or any other controlled substance
- Biker shorts, boxer shorts, spandex shorts, swimming trunks, or shorts deemed inappropriate by school staff or administration. Check point for shorts/skirts: Place hands at sides with fingers extended. The hem of the garment should be at or below the tip of your thumb with at least three inches of inseam.
- Bro tanks, tank tops, beach tops, half shirts, tops with bare midriffs, mesh shirts, or suggestive or revealing garments. Check point: If you can't tuck it in, don't wear it. Straps should be a minimum of two fingers wide. The openings for the arms must fit snuggly against the body (undergarments should not be visible). Low cut tops. Check point: If you hold your neck with your right hand, placing the first finger and thumb over your collar bone, the border of the garment should be hidden by the bottom of your hand.
- Undergarments worn as outer garments
- Gang clothing, symbols, signs, or paraphernalia Clothing that promotes racist, sexist, or bigoted ideas
- Book bags, back packs, duffel bags, and outside coats are not allowed in the classroom Footwear must be worn at all times.
At the discretion of the administration, students who violate the dress code may rectify the situation in school or may be sent home to change clothing. If this cannot occur, students/parents will be given the option of wearing alternative clothing provided by the school. Students will not be allowed back in to the general school environment and will remain in the in-school suspension area until the violation of the dress code can be rectified. Students will only be given consequences if they refuse a request to change clothing or persistently break the guidelines for appropriate appearance.

CHEMISTRY FUN
tudents in chemistry worked on their science and engineering practices this week while practicing lab safety. The focus focus was on making qualitative observations that we could use to make inferences, while using prior knowledge.
Forensic Science Class Solves Spyder Heist Lock Box Challenge!
What an exhilarating day in our Forensic Science class!
Today, we put our detective skills to the test as we tackled the Spyder Heist Lock Box Challenge, and the results were nothing short of spectacular!
In this thrilling breakout activity, we were tasked with opening a series of intricate locks on a mysterious lock box. The catch? We had to work together as a team and beat the clock!
Our classroom transformed into a real-life crime scene investigation as we carefully examined clues, deciphered codes, and unraveled the mystery step by step. The excitement was palpable as we pieced together the puzzle, drawing on our knowledge of forensic science and collaboration skills.
With seconds ticking away, we cracked each lock one by one, getting closer to unveiling the secrets hidden inside the lock box. The sense of accomplishment when that final lock clicked open was absolutely electrifying!
This challenge truly showcased the power of teamwork, critical thinking, and our passion for forensic science.
Huge kudos to every member of our amazing class for their dedication and determination!
Stay tuned for more thrilling adventures in the world of forensic science!

With a treasure trove of data in hand, our chemistry students embarked on the journey of inference-making. Armed with their lab papers filled with observations, they pieced together the puzzle of chemical reactions, patterns, and trends.
The magic of chemistry lies in connecting the dots between what we see and the underlying principles governing those phenomena. Our students delved deep into the process of inference-making, drawing meaningful conclusions from their observations. From identifying reaction types to predicting outcomes, the classroom was abuzz with intellectual discussions.
