We at North Crawford are loving the warmer weather - there is something pretty special about sledding filled recesses.

As we near the end of the first semester, please be on the lookout for a report card that will be sent home close to Jan. 26th. In the Elementary we utilize a standards based report card. It is helpful to think of it as a snapshot of where your child is currently at in regards to grade level standards at this point of the year. Please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions about the report card and ways that you can support learning at home.

On Jan. 19th the new matrix will begin to be utilized in the district. Masking has not changed on the bus per federal regulations.

It has been great to hear from so many of you in the survey sent out last month as well as a handful of you in the parent focus groups. We will be having a meeting on Monday, Jan. 17th to give an overview of our options looking into the grant timeline and possible pilot ideas in the future. My hope is that this group can act as a parent advisory group throughout the year. Focused more on brainstorming, offering feedback, and serving on possible interview teams for staff throughout the year vs. a more traditional "pto" that looks at fundraising. The pandemic has showed us all how important a partnership between school and home lives is - we hope you can join us in this engagement effort. The meeting will be in the Large Group Room (next to the HS office) from 5:00-6:15. I have attached a report of our work and the agenda for the meeting. My family attempted this during 2021, while we only made it to 600 hours - it was a great motivator for my littles to get outside across the seasons.
