CHIPS Weekly Update

We are so happy that spring is here! As the weather gets milder, we'd like to take an opportunity to remind our families of some important parts of our arrival and dismissal procedures.

• If you are walking up to pick up, please be sure to hold your child's hand all the way to your car. The parking lot is very busy at dismissal time!
• Please do not pass busses when their lights are flashing.
• Please be on time at pick up. Staff have lunch and other duties after pick up time, and children get anxious when they need to wait to be picked up.
• Please make sure your child is securely buckled in their car seat before leaving the parking lot.
• A reminder that the CHIPS playground is not open to the public during school hours. This includes after the CHIPS PM session, as Lion's Pride is still in session.

The CHIPS PTO is sponsoring a Square One Art fundraiser. Each classroom worked on a special art project for this fundraiser, and you can purchase keepsakes featuring your child's art. You have received your child's personalized catalog and ordering instructions. A link to Square One Art's Customer Care is below in case you have any questions. Please order by April 12th.

• April 4- NO CHIPS- Professional Development (please note that this is a change from the original April PD date)
• April 7- NO SCHOOL- Good Friday
• April 17-21- NO SCHOOL- April Vacation

If your child is headed off to Kindergarten this fall, please see the attached information about the Massachusetts Mandatory Health Requirements for Kindergarten Entry. Please submit updated physicals & immunizations before the current school year ends to Nurse Kristen. If this information will be completed over the summer, please forward the documentation to the school your child will be attending.

Each Elementary School Nurse's information is provided within the attached document.

Please use our absence line (978-251-5188 Option 0) to report your child's absence from school and be sure to state the reason for the absence (illness, appointment, travel, etc). If your child is out due to illness, please let us know the nature of the illness (fever, vomiting, cough, etc.).

Nurse Kristen can be reached by calling the CHIPS main number (978-251-5188) and selecting option 3.

Believe it or not, it is sign up time for many summer camps and activities. Our social worker, Ann Wheeler, has compiled a list of camps in the area for your reference. Please feel free to reach out to Ann (wheelera@chelmsford.k12.ma.us) if you need help finding a camp or support with financial logistics.
