Video Spotlight on Chris Haines, WBSD Parent Coach & Mentor
Back in 2015, WBSD parent Chris Haines started his coaching journey with FIRST Lego League. His son was interested in joining the team, so Chris joined too! One of his goals was to grow the team. In 2022, the team tripled! His advice to new coaches is have the willingness to grow and develop with the students. The experience is so much more than the robot. When asked what is your favorite part about robotics, he said "there is a place for everyone who wants to be there." A few fun facts about Chris, he was a competitive soccer player and he owned a pizzeria in East Lansing.

Music To Your Ears
120 seventh and eighth graders visited the WBHS for WB Voice Day. High school choral students taught the visitors a song, completed a Q & A, and explored the high school choir program. The day was planned and executed by the high school students headed by Alexis Goldapper. At the conclusion of the day, WB middle and high school singers performed Sikirileke Koloi Sabe, a folk song from South Africa. Click here to view the video.
