What to Expect for Our First Day
Blair Oaks R-II School District - Wednesday, August 19, 2020
Message from Dr. Jones
We are Blair Oaks! I love the way that sounds. Every morning the last few weeks, I have done my best to pound myself with positivity and get on with the day. I appreciate the many kind and positive words I have heard from students, parents, and patrons. We are indeed all in this together! Our focus is getting to the next day! To make that happen, we are all going to have to work together. The Blair Oaks R-II School District needs everyone to partner with us in this effort. We need the help of students, parents, and grandparents to help us make our next days last until May 25, 2021. Face coverings have become a sensitive topic around the world. Regardless, I am all in on the next day. If face coverings will help our school get to the next day, I am all in. We are going to ask our students and parents to join us and be all in. If you have a strong opinion about face coverings (favorable or unfavorable), I ask that you focus on the next day and get all in for Blair Oaks. The District is asking students to wear face coverings at different grade levels at different times during the day to start the 2020-2021 school year. I hope everyone will support our efforts to get to the next day. We are Blair Oaks! What is Monday, August 24 going to look like? We put together an abbreviated document to make it easy to understand. The document is included.
