Fair Winds and Following Seas
“Fair Winds and Following Seas” is a gesture of good luck to those we will miss. This phrase is used throughout the Marine Corps and Navy. Marines and Sailors who have served with honor and courage. The combination of phrases implies that a vessel will have good winds, and not have to pound into the waves.
Many of you know that I'm a former Marine. My wish for each of you is that you also will have “Fair Winds and Following Seas”. Life can throw some storms at you and sometimes you may feel as though you're in a storm and it's during those times you will yearn for fair winds and following seas.
Good Luck to you All
