GMS Falcon Update

Annually, we invite out OHP satellite programs to GMS to share with grade 8 students about what their program has to offer locally at GHS. This allows students to learn more about each program, but also use this to consider opportunities as they begin the scheduling process soon.

Due to delays and cancellations recently, the Mobile Dentist provider will now be here on Thursday, February 1st.

The Skilled Trades Ninja Competition is new to our county this year. The goal of the practice and competition is to expose students to various skilled trades techniques. Each student in grade 8 has completed at least two rounds of practice on the following skills:

-Drill/Driver

-Electrical Wiring

-Plumbing

-Tape Measure

-Welding gloves

-Nuts and Bolts

-Hammering

The top 5 students will compete in the Regional Competition at Ohio Hi-Point on February 9th.

On February 1st, GHS will host their annual College Credit Plus Informational meeting. Where this is most applicable is for 8th graders interested in taking American Sign Language next year. The meeting will take place Thursday, February 1st at 6:00pm in the high school cafeteria.

Attention all softball players: MS softball open gyms are available on Sundays from 2-3:30 at Graham High School. The open gyms are for all middle school softball players in grades 6-8. Please check the "Graham Falcons Softball" Facebook page for a complete calendar and for weather related updates each week.

Frontline Education has released the ProgressBook Parent and Student Mobile App (aka ParentAccess app) to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This app is available for your parents/students to download and use now. For those that choose to download, the app takes the place of the mobile web version of ParentAccess that parents and students have long used. In addition, Frontline has produced an overview video that can be shared with your users (video link is also in the attached instructional sheet).
