Congrats to BSD for its 6th Time as NAMM Best Communities in Music Education!
For the sixth year in a row Brunswick was selected as one of only two schools in Maine as a Best Community for Music Education! This accomplishment is a result of efforts by teachers, students, administrators, and the Brunswick community. The Brunswick community sees the value of music in our schools and we are extremely lucky for the support that we receive from many different stakeholders. This support is our reason to celebrate this accomplishment not only for our students but for our community as a whole.

The Counseling Corner
Scarborough High School will host the Consider Canada College Tour on Thursday, May 4th, from 6:00 - 8:30 PM. This event is open to the public. Starting at 6:00 PM, Admission Counselors will talk about studying in Canada and some FAQs for about 30 minutes. After that, it will be an open college fair. This is a drop-in event, so attendees can stay as long or as short as they want. I've attached the flyer with the confirmed colleges that will be attending. It would be appreciated if you shared this with families and students. Please reach out or forward questions to Scott Harris sharris@scarboroughschools.org

JUNIORS– Are you considering a career in engineering?
“Consider Engineering” is the perfect opportunity for high school students who are interested in studying engineering. This four-day program gives students a taste of the college experience while exposing them to the vast field of engineering. “Consider Engineering” is a challenging and rewarding four-day overnight summer program for high school juniors to get a taste of college life and what it takes to be an engineer. Last year, UMaine welcomed just over 100 high school juniors from across the nation to the UMaine Orono campus to take part. They can't wait to welcome more this July!
