Teacher Assignments and Notifications

We know you are anxiously awaiting the notification of who your child's teacher will be for this school year. Teachers will contact families Monday, mid-afternoon inviting you to Open House. If we expect any delays in this process, we will notify you ASAP.

Open House Details

Join us Monday evening from 5:00-6:30 pm to meet your child's teacher. Feel free to bring supplies to drop off at your child's classroom. The evening will be come and go. Plan ahead as parking will be a challenge. PTO, CNA, Transportation, and other community partners will be available to answer any questions.

Verification of Enrollment

It’s that time of year when families need to complete enrollment verification for students who attended a Leander ISD campus for the 2021-22 school year and plan to attend the upcoming 2022-23 school year. Please know that this is our way of ensuring we have the most up to date information in the event of an emergency but also for day to day correspondence that helps us keep families informed. Please see the SDM Principal Letter 22-23 with important information regarding our on-line dismissal management system, School Dismissal Manager (SDM).
You will be receiving a message from SDM with parent credentials and will need to read the parent letter as well.

The Leander ISD Transportation Department uses SMART Tag – a system that provides accurate, near real-time monitoring of where and when students load onto and unload off of their school bus – to help promote student safety and security, keeping parents, school administrators and the district’s transportation department more informed.

Bus riders are issued a SMART card, which they scan as they get on and off the bus.

SMART Tag Parent Portal

Parents and guardians can go to the SMART Tag Parent Portal and select Register to begin the registration process. Once registered, parents and guardians can sign up for SMART Alerts to receive a text message notification 10 to 15 minutes before the bus arrives at their child’s bus stop. While on the bus, the Parent Portal also provides a live map to see bus’ location in near real time.

To complete the registration, you will need the following:

• The campus name of your child
• Your child’s student ID number
• Your child’s date of birth
