Eagle Views

Hello, Vista Eagles; Welcome to Eagle Views! Eagle Views is a group of students coming together to share information and news about our school. To make this happen, we had the help of our staff and fellow journalism students. This newspaper will cover big announcements like sports, after-school activities, after-school programs, awards, assemblies, sports schedules, etc., throughout the school year. We plan to keep the Vista Community posted and updated about school news bi-weekly.

Football ended their season on a high note! Our Eagles beat Sierra Middle School to take third place overall. Our boys had a great season! We spoke with a few players about the season. When asked about the year, quarterback Brody McCann stated, "really good; our team fought hard; we played together as a team." Offensive and Defensive Lineman Jacob Soto said, "It felt good to finish with a good record. I am going to miss playing with such a great group."

Girls' Volleyball finished the year on a high note as well. All three teams fought hard at the end of the year tournament! We interviewed a few girls about the season. When asked how the season went, Karyna Holguin stated, "It was fun; I am going to miss playing with my teammates." Wendy Duarte said, "I will miss the competition and playing with my friends."

Girl's basketball starts off the season this week. The first game will be Wednesday, November 2nd, at White Sands. Ashlyn Maya was asked about the season and stated, "I am very, very excited! We are practicing a lot and have a good group!" Brooklyn Fender said she was "Very excited!"

Boys soccer starts off their season today with the very first practice. Our boys have high hopes for the year.

A schedule will be posted soon for both sports! We look forward to everyone coming out and supporting our Eagles this season.

Through the week of 10/24-10/31, Vista Middle School will have a Spirit Week. This is spreading Drug awareness. The week's motto says, “I believe in my happy, healthy & drug-free!” This was told to show kids that they do not need drugs to be relaxed or happy. The day's themes are as follows. One important event that is going around the school right now is, The School Dance!

The dance will be on October 28, 2022. 6-8 pm, and Many are invited!! Vista eagles got a dance pass to attend it; they were handed out during advisory class or 4th period.

RULES: There are rules you need to follow before the dance date comes; for anything you do wrong or get in trouble with, one letter of the word "Dance" will be taken off, and if you don't have any notes left on there you won't be allowed to attend the event. The rules are simple and easy to follow.

The dance will be fun so invite your friends! This is a perfect opportunity to bond with others and do activities with them!

Info/ activities: A DJ will be attending and making music for the dance. Bring a dollar to appreciate his hard work for us. Also, even in the meantime, recommend a song for him to play!!

Activities going on in the dance would include games, a photo booth, food, sweets, and even more!
