Hello San Joaquin and Creekside Families!
Winter Break is quickly approaching and so much is happening with our PTSA. Here’s the latest news:
Spiritwear has ARRIVED and is being delivered this week. Teachers will find their orders in their mailboxes and parents will be contacted individually. If you have placed an order and do not receive it by Friday December 16th please call Connie Stone at 714-335-6028.
CONGRATULATIONS to our 2022-2023 Reflections Winners for San Joaquin Creekside PTSA! Entries were received and awarded with:
This year's theme was "Show Your Voice...". The First place winners (Award of Excellence) moved on to Fourth District PTA (Orange County) for further judging. Congratulations to all the winners and to you for making this happen this year.

We are proud to announce the following students’ entries received the following recognition:
Sylvia LIang - from San Joaquin MIddle School - for Literature awarded the Award of Excellence
Sylvia Liang - from San Joaquin Middle School - for Photography awarded the Award of Merit
Daniel Joo - High School - for Literature awarded the Award of Merit
Vritti Chopra - High School - for Literature awarded the Award of Excellence
Our 2 Award of Excellence (First Place) Winners; Sylvia Liang for her Middle School Literature submission entitled “Big Voice Big Dreams” and Vritti Chopra for her High School Literature submission entitled “What’s Her Secret?” moved on for judging at the Irvine Unified Council of PTAs but unfortunately neither entry moved on to the Orange County wide (Fourth District PTA) Reflections competition. Congratulations to all our award winners!
Student Advocacy Trip to Sacramento
Our PTSA will be sponsoring 2 high school students, one from San Joaquin and one from Creekside to travel to Sacramento In March 2023, along with other high school students across Irvine, to learn about educational legislation that impacts students across California. This PTSA program includes 6 weekly panel meetings with IUSD District Leadership where students meet each other, learn about student educational funding and share key issues facing them today.
Multicultural Fair
PTSA will be working with ASB to support our Multicultural Fair in the spring to promote awareness, appreciation and respect for the diverse cultures that our families and students are a part of. If you would like to volunteer to support this program please reach out to Connie Stone at 714-335-6028
