Girl Scout Leader Appreciation Gift
My name is Tricia Pearson and I am the Service Unit Manager, or helper (we combine four service units for meetings) for your girl scouts leaders. You are receiving this email because your daughter is in a Girl Scout in either Ralston Valley Service unit, Aspen Gold Service Unit, The Pines Service unit or Meadows Service Unit.
We want to let parents or another registered adult connected to Girl Scout troops know about a few ways they can say, “Thank You” to the Leader(s) of the troop. This is my second year in this role in the Service Unit, so I wanted to make sure you knew about the special day Girl Scouts of the United States of America has selected as Girl Scout Leader Appreciation day this year: April 22, 2019.
As you probably realize, our Troop leaders dedicate many hours to planning and executing a fulfilling program for our Scouts. Our leaders do this as volunteers. Please consider doing something to recognize your daughter’s volunteer leader.
It doesn’t have to be that specific day, it can be the troop meeting date closest to that time. Some examples of gifts given to show appreciation for Leaders’ work all year long are as simple as having the girls sign a Thank You card with a troop picture inside. Some parents and girls like to give gift cards to a restaurant they know their leader likes or something else your daughter’s leader might not gift herself.
In May we will be hosting a Leader Appreciation at a Winery per the Leaders request.
