Some Last Minute 2022/23 School Year Reminders:

Report card marks and comments will be available through PowerSchool for viewing by the end of today!

Staggered entry on the first two days of school next school year. This will allow staff more time to connect with students, adjust schedules and options and go over any new changes to our school year.

THURS/FRI Sept. 1 & 2- Staggered start (half of each class/grade each day) as per schedule below.

TUES Sept. 6- First full day with ALL students in the building.

ALL students in grades 5-12 should attend school next school year on the following days according to last name:

Thursday, September 1st - A-K (Thursday schedule)

Friday, September 2nd - L-Z (Thursday schedule)

Tuesday, September 6th - ALL students attend

Gr. 6&7 Option Reminder: The link must be opened and the form completed from your child’s EICS account. Your child will also find this form in their EICS email.

Our schedule for next year is not quite finalized; we are expecting this to occur by mid-August where class placements will be available for viewing through Powerschool. We appreciate your patience with this aspect of our planning. We wish you all a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming you again in the Fall. Student Placement Letter 2022-2023-As we plan for next year, our professional staff will collaborate to best meet the needs of all students next school year. Please read the following letter outlining our rationale with this process. Please see attachment below.

Dear parent/guardian:

The EICS Demographic Confirmation form for the 2022-2023 school year needs to be completed now.

Alberta Education requires that we obtain a detailed update of student demographics on an annual basis. Funding they provide for your child's education is conditional to us receiving these updates and making them part of the student's record.

We ask that you please take a moment to complete this form in PowerSchool and have the form submitted no later than Wednesday, June 29th 2022.

Here are some steps to help you access, review and submit the form online:

1. Log into PowerSchool: https://powerschool.eics.ab.ca/public/
2. Under the heading "Forms and Fees" click on "SchoolEngage Student Forms"
3. Complete the form called "A.8) 2022-2023 Demographic Validation"
4. Click Submit
