Principal's Message

Dear Parent(s),

Students had a lot of fun competing in the Mustache competition. There was a tie for first in the class participation category. Classes 6B and 7C will receive Subway sandwiches for lunch Monday Dec. 5th. The other categories, Best Group was won by Malin Teeple, Brooklyn Hnatyshyn and Shayna Matson and Best Individual Mustache was won by Wyatt Beck.

Last School Council meeting of 2022 will take place on Dec. 8th at 7pm in the Learning Commons.

Learning In Action

Kinder8

For this year's first Kinder8 adventure Mrs. K-T's L.A. 8 students were hosted by Mr. Leis and his kindergarten students at MBE. During their "Meet & Greet," the students completed a survey together to help them get to know each other. One of the questions, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" had some great responses from both groups of students such as a pilot, artist, NFL player, zookeeper, farmer, pizza maker, and even Spiderman. Later, they spent time exploring different centers set up by Mr. Leis and Mrs. Martin. Our next get-together will be on December 12th when the kinders come to PGMS for our "Snow Carnival".

Properties of light

Students in Science 8 received the opportunity to participate in a lab on the properties of light. They had to apply the theoretical knowledge from class, which covered colour combinations, transmission of light, refraction vs. reflection, etc.
