Each week God gives me gentle reminders of all the good in the world. This week there were many God moments. During our Ash Wednesday Mass, my heart was so full as we celebrated the beginning of our Lenten journey as a school family. Seeing the youngest Hornets experiencing this in our school community is so heart-warming. Thursday night we were able to have March Madness where our Holy Cross community came together to celebrate all our CYO basketball teams and especially our 8th grade boys. They played on our court as Hornets for the last time. It was so fun to watch all our students play something they love to do, but also bittersweet to see our 8th-grade boys show off their skills as Hornets one last time. It felt like forever since we were all together smiling, laughing and enjoying each others company. These special moments each week solidify that Holy Cross community is such a special place. I feel blessed to be a part of it.

As we heard the traumatic news today of Olathe East High School, we ask Holy Cross to lift their entire community up in prayer. May God wrap his loving arms around the Olathe community as they begin the healing process from this tragedy.
